Craft at the speed of AI: a design system people and agents build with

Lendi Group · Agentic design system

Craft is what makes a product stand out, and it’s the first thing to slip when AI speeds everything up. I lead the design system that protects it at Lendi Group: one source of truth across three brands, used by designers, engineers, prototyping tools and the AI agents now building our screens.

About Lendi Group

Lendi Group is a leading Australian property fintech behind the Lendi and Aussie brands, formed through their merger in May 2021. Its 1,300 brokers write around 6% of the country’s home loans every week, and it’s growing into a full property ecosystem that helps Australians find, buy and own. Underneath, it’s rebuilding its platform on cloud-native infrastructure run by AI agents, to turn the complexity of a mortgage into a 10-minute digital experience.

Craft, at the speed of AI

Designers talk a lot about craft, and how it makes a product stand out. But when there’s pressure to ship, craft is usually the first thing to go.

AI makes that worse. It can make a screen in seconds, but if it isn’t built on solid foundations, it drifts away from what the team intended. That means more rework, and it loses the small details that make a product feel like yours. That’s why the design system matters more now, not less.

Generative UI, from one system

AI agents don’t just reply with text anymore. Like OpenAI’s Intelligent UI, they can show the right thing for the moment: a side-by-side comparison, a form, a chart, or just a clear sentence. So we asked: how do we let agents build screens across three brands, and still have them look and feel like us?

Our answer is one design system that people and agents both build with. The code in production is the reference, every tool uses it, and agents can only build from components we’ve approved. Prototypes now go to code without being reinterpreted, and a change made once propagates safely everywhere. Try it below: the same components, three brands.
